You have to realize that MapInfo workspaces manage
all sorts of things that don't appear in geosets --
browsers, layouts, graphs, even legends! 

All that said, you can use the "MapX Geoset Utility" 
that comes with MapInfo Professional to take a *single
Map window* and turn it into a Geoset.

I would also recommend (although this may not be
everyone's opinion) that you regard a Geoset as a 
*static backdrop* to any MapX map (albeit one you
can pan and zoom).  Layers that are going to be created
dynamically, or changed during their lifetime,
should be created and added to the MapX Map by your
application; such layers should *not* appear in your geoset.
