Here are the most recent additions to our site Two documents of interest mainly to the MapBasic non-users."Global operations on objects within MapInfo" addresses the questions of object creation from data contained in a table, of object transformations and of extraction of data from objects. All operations are done basically with the Update function which explains the term "global operations". "Selecting objects using their characteristics" stresses the variety of functions available for a "select" operation (MapBasic window or directly in SQL requester) for use in a selection based on some geo+graphical parameters: the nature of the objects, their geographical definitions, their contents and their styles. Both documents are offered in a preliminary version, meaning that I am counting on your comments to bring them to a more definitive status. "Global operations on objects within MapInfo" and "Selecting objects using their characteristics" are accessible via http://www.paris-pc-gis.com/mb_r/doc/doc_start.htm A new tool, Last_Rowid a joined the ranks of the MLC_INI applications. It is a simple application that displays the RowID of the last selected object in its base table. Nothing earth shaking but usefull in tight corners. http://www.paris-pc-gis.com/mlc/mlc_main_en.htm I made WipeMess for my own use and I could not do without it mainly when I am developping/debugging a program. It is basically a one liner "print chr$(12)" that is drowned in ten+ lines of code just for getting the "Open Book" icon operational. A click on it and it wipes clean the Message window. This is an app that will never warrant a MultiLingual treatement. It comes with its source code. I will keep it in the Beta area of http://www.paris-pc-gis.com/index.html Jacques Paris e-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] MapInfo/MapBasic support http://www.paris-pc-gis.com _______________________________________________________________________ List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MapInfo-L" in the message body.
