Subject: MI-L Where is the future of GIS?

I am putting together a lecture on where the future of GIS is going.

I would like to canvas opinion from the user community on this.

What I am considering so far is:

1. Internet GIS - how far down the road are we to attaining "true GIS" =
over the net.
2. Application Service providers.
3. Location based retailing
3. GIS bundled as part of MS products - Mappoint for instance.
4. In the UK - the Digital National Framework- what it is and where its =
going.=20
-but what is the wider picture
5. New functionality under development- is there any to come or are we =
just revisiting CAD?

All in 1.5 hours, so I will only be scratching the surface, but all =
contributions gratefully
accepted.

Anybody with specific ideas on any of these or indeed if I should also =
be considering
other aspects.=20

Please reply to my personal email.

I will summarise.

Thanks.

Andy
