After restarting the computer and attempting to run MapInfo again then
MapInfo launches but never gets to the start up screen. The Mapinfo process
consumes 99% cpu time but the application never gets to the start screen.
Also reinstalling MapInfo does not fix the problem.

 Perhaps MapInfo is trying
