Blaine Castle, MapInfo Europe gave me this explanation: Appearently the problem only occures with MapInfo 6.5. In the settings for the file types there is a setting for the MapBasic application, that should be altered to change this double execution of the mbx's
As default the string is as this: "C:\MAPINFO PRO\MI650DK\MAPINFOW.EXE" -noexec "%1" If you change it to this: "C:\MAPINFO PRO\MI650DK\MAPINFOW.EXE" -noexec Your problems will be gone. Note that "C:\MAPINFO PRO\MI650DK\MAPINFOW.EXE" should be the path to your MapInfo 6.5. If you run a mbx by double clicking the application itself from within explorer or as an icon on the desktop, i.e. the actual mbx file, then MapInfo starts up and the mbx is executed twice. If the mbx is run any other way, i.e from within MapInfo, or even from a shortcut to the mbx, etc. then the mbx only executes once. I have tried this with the most basic of applications, below, and it still does it. Anyone with any reasons why this happens?
