Your question is rather broad, but start with reading the MapInfo Users Guide, and then run through the tutorial. Then pick specific tasks and try to do them. If you need help, then ask *specific* questions here (one or at most two per message); use a well-focused, relevant subject line, and you'll get rapid and useful answers. But you have to plunge in and do some work on your own first, or you won't know what to ask, nor will the answers to vague questions be of much use to you. I particularly recommend this approach even to people who are about to take one of the two-day MapInfo training courses offered by many vendors. Come to the class with actual experience of what you weren't able to do on your own, and you'll really get some use out of the course. If you start from scratch without putting in any prior effort and expect to learn it all in two days, and you'll be wasting some of your money. Training helps best those who try to teach themselves; there is no royal road to learning. -- - Bill Thoen ------------------------------------------------------------ GISnet, 1401 Walnut St., Suite C, Boulder, CO 80302 tel: 303-786-9961, fax: 303-443-4856 mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.gisnet.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________________________________ List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MapInfo-L" in the message body.
