Listers,
Sorry for taking so long with this one but I've been preoccupied, here's a
summary with thanks!
My Question:
Going back to a thread that we had last week...Is it possible to issue the
'Set Map Layer 1 Default Zoom' statement in the MB window when layer 1 is a
raster layer? I keep getting a message telling me that my table is read-only
and yet in the files properties 'read-only' is not checked! Can I get around
this?
Answer:
The simple answer is no! Jacques Paris kindly responded with: 'Set Map Layer
1 Default Zoom' statement writes the values of the "view" parameters to the
.map file. As there is no place to write them with a raster file, MI
consider that a raster file as read-only whatever be its Windows status.
David Booth suggested that I could do what most of us do on a very regular
basis and 'fudge it' (technical term) by making a single tile seamless table
using seammgr.mbx and setting the default zoom on that. I have yet to try it
but it sounds sensible.
Thanks guys...
Best Regards,
Dave
