I have a number of region files that contain numerous redundant nodes along
straight lines. I have tried the "thin objects" program from the version 3
utilities, but I think it's angle detection is flawed. It is removing
corners and leaving numerous "garbage nodes". I have to many region files
that need to be cleaned up to do this by hand. Is their a better utility
for removing nodes along a straight line? Preferably free of course.
