Yes, I have noticed that all the time, and I've never got an answer to that 
particular issue...The weird part is that the one training example that is 
in the MapInfo training manual for Grids shows that exact problem in the 
screenshot (My company is an Authorized MI trng. center). I've also posed 
the question to this list without luck...
