Hi, Thanks to all those who responded with suggestions to this problem when I asked earlier in the month. Unfortunately, I still have been unable to resolve it. My earlier message was:
Any table I create in MapInfo, or Import from Excel, Access or dxf and then create a thematic on has this problem; if I try to customise the styles of the thematic for any type of map object (symbols, lines or regions) only the customise symbol dialog appears. This means that I cannot specify line thickness or styles, or region fill patterns or lines. I am not using mixed object type layers, and doing a 'Save As' with a different name, then using that table, has no effect either. I have been using 'Region IndValue' thematic templates. Existing tables I have still work fine, and I can create thematics and modify styles for lines, regions and symbols as I wish. The only way I can create a new table that I can modify thematic object or line styles is by saving a copy of an existing table and deleting all the records. I am using MapInfo Pro 6.5, and Windows 2000 Professional. Since I wrote the first message, I have reinstalled Windows and MapInfo, but the problem remains. Any suggestions would be gratefully received as I am starting to wonder if I'm losing my marbles, and it's really denting my appearance of capability!
