Hello MapInfo gurus, I am a first semester GIS (Applications Specialist) student at Sir Sandford Fleming College, in Lindsay Ontario and we are using MapInfo. I want to bring a map I have created into MS Excel and link it to a spreadsheet for a project I am working on. When I follow the instructions in the MapInfo Knowledge Base I have no success. I get the error message "Error reading map feature information" when I try to add the MapInfo file. My map was created with MI-5.0, I am using Excel 97, is that my problem? It is 8.3 format. The knowledge base says the table version # has to be 300 - what does this mean and how do I determine the version?
