Greetings All: Is there a way to get MapInfoPro 6.5 to recalculate polygon centroids??
I know I can, using "Reshape", manually drag "centroids" to a new position, which, I'm guessing, I will end up doing anyway. My problem: Statewide county map with each county a polygon but the centroids of even the squarish counties are a long way from the center. I've geo-coded some locations to each county putting the points on top of each other at the "centroid" of each county. Disperse will (poorly) move the location points away from each other, and sometimes into another county. Conversely, is there a way to disperse my points constrained by county boundaries?? I don't care much where the points are except they need to stay inside their respective counties. ...thanks ...Bob Robert Karr Phone: 517-373-3028 Science Research Assistant FAX: 517-373-0171 Science and Technology Division Legislative Service Bureau Michigan State Legislature 124 West Allegan Street, 4th Floor pob 30036 Lansing, MI 48909-7536 USA _______________________________________________________________________ List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MapInfo-L" in the message body.
