I have hit a wall trying to figure out how MI calculates the colors in a
"create styles" when "vary color by "RGB"".

It is not an even spread (steps of the same value between consecutive
colors) based on the start and end RGB values. It is not either an even
spread of the r,g,b components based on their values for the start and end
RGB.

It is not either a question of roundings; we are talking of differences of
several units.

It is possible that MI does not use rgb at all for its calculations, and
that may explain the obvious differences.

Does anyone have a clue? I would appreciate finding an explanation to
something that has been bugging me for a long while.
