I think everyone in the MapInfo world would be interested in an application that had some moderate CAD functionality. Its a real pain to have to export a table to a CAD program to do a few simple object manipulations and then import them back. I've tried out a couple of programs that claim to provide such functionality but they have both fell short. One worked only with non-earth tables the other was very good indeed but was very cantankerous (crashes and exceptions).
I've tried writing some programs to do some CAD-like functions, but it is a tortuous process I think you are on to a good thing and we would be interested in purchasing such a program. I had a look at your website but unfortunately my German/Danish needs a bit of work. Is there an English version of your program? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dr. Franz-Josef Behr" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: "MapInfo-L" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "Sartorius, Hans-Peter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, October 12, 2001 7:07 PM Subject: Re: MI-L CAD functions in MapInfo > We have a Mapbasic application which does a lot of these things (but > with metrical coordinate systems). > > You can get some impression at: > http://www.graphservice.de/mi/geokonst.htm > > If anybody is interested I will make an evaluation version available for > download. > > Please give me some feed back! > > -- > Mit freundlichen Gren / Best regards / Cordialement > i.A. > > Franz-Josef Behr > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > We all learn by sharing what we know...
