Chris - You can do the following - if the MapBasic application doesn't use any ver. 6.0 features:
- Make a copy of your MBX file. Work on the _copy_. - Open your new copy of the MBX - file in a hex editor (I use UltraEdit, www.ultraedit.com). - Position 6 and forward contains the text "Version 600." or something like that. The "600" part is the version number for MapInfo. - Change the "600" to "500". Don't change anythinge else. - Save the file. - Try the edited mbx in MapInfo. It should work now !! regards Bo Thomsen GeoConsult I/S Denmark -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sendt: 6. december 2001 11:02 Til: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Emne: MI-L Run Mapbasic 6 application on Mapinfo 5 or lower Is there a way to write a program using MAPBASIC 6 and run it on MAPINFO 5 or lower?
