Last week I sent the inquiry below to the MI-L list regarding customizing Crystal Reports through MapBasic. From the response I got (2 messages saying they'd be interested in any anwers I got), my assumption is this hasn't been done on a wide-spread basis but is clearly a weakness in the MapBasic API.
I'd be interested, then, if anyone out there has had success using some other reporting mechanism from MapBasic besides Crystal (i.e., Excel via DDE, etc.,). Thanks, Gary. The MapBasic commands that support Crystal seem to be extremely limitting (unless I'm missing something) but it does look like you could call the Crystal Reports dlls directly given the API information.
