Hi
I'm trying to use a geoset for loading my data in a VB based
application having MapX component. The Geoset refers to a Linked set of
layers in a Oracle spatial database (8i). The main reason for doing so is
the loading time for live data from Oracle.

The problem is...
When some client m/c does some editing on a layer, it gets stored
locally. What I want to do is to update the layer editing information in
the Oracle database also, alongwith the local TAB files. So that the other
clients who use it, also get the reflected changes.

Here again, I need to check while loading the data from the local geoset,
that if some layer has been edited, then refresh the Linked DBMS table.
This is precisely similar to what MapInfo does for Linked tables.

I plan to use a table where I store information about names of edited
layers and the user who did it, so that other users can get the latest data
from the Oracle database for that layer..

If someone could give a lead in this regard, it would be a great help. Do
comment about the approach.

Hope this is the last querry in this year. : )
