SPAM, SPAM, SPAM... 

I don't mind a certain amount of advertising via mailing lists
because to some (small) degree advertisements are news. But if these
advertisements masquerade as "press releases" and are more than 10
lines long, draw no connection between what they're selling and the
focus of the mailing list, etc. etc. (read the guidelines at
http://www.directionsmag.com/mapinfo-l) then I think they should be
run off.

And what credentials do you suppose the publisher ("Market*Access
International") has to pose as an authority on Homeland Defense? I
think they are really just building another email spam list!
