I am trying to register a raster image to a non-earth MineGrid, (where =
MIneGrid North =3D 330 degrees True), and have the raster image rotate =
to display MineGrid North to the top of the page when any MineGrid map =
is overlaid. I am using MI 4.5.2
=20
I have a raster map which shows Australian Map Grid Coords (AMG). I =
also have an affine transformation for the non-earth grid (MineGrid) and =
this has been used to correctly display field data as maps but until now =
I have not had to use any raster maps. MineGrid north is 330 degrees =
True. I am also able to recalculate any AMG coords to give MineGrid =
coords.

Can anyone explain to me the steps required to display my raster image =
with the MineGrid orientation - that is, with the raster rotated 30 =
degrees clockwise. I have made 2 separate attempts at registering the =
raster map:

(1). Register the raster map to the AMG coords and then overlay a =
MineGrid map. The raster displays with North oriented vertically. =
MineGrid overlay map is correctly oriented on top of the raster but with =
the MIneGrid rotated anti-clockwise into its correct position with =
MineGrid North at 330degrees- ( I want the raster rotated clockwise! ). =
A line of "CoordSys Earth Projection" parameters appears in the TAB =
file.

(2). Convert the AMG coord registration points to MineGrid coords, =
reopen a fresh raster image and register it with the MineGrid affine =
transformation. This places both "CoordSys Earth Projection" parameters =
AND "Affine Units" in the TAB file. The displayed raster image remains =
with North oriented vertically but the MineGrid overlay is rotated =
incorrectly clockwise with MineGrid North at 30 degrees.

I have also tried registering the raster to the AMG coords and then =
using Save Copy of Table As > and selecting the Affine MineGrid for the =
projection. That has the same result as in (1) - the MineGrid overlay =
map displays correctly but the MineGrid map is rotated and NOT the =
raster underlay - (it is the raster I would like to rotate). The TAB =
file does not show any "Affine Units"

I'm sorry if this has been rather long-winded but I wanted to make clear =
the problem. Any help will be appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
