ABOUT THIS CONFERENCE:

The Government of Croatia is substantially reforming Croatia's energy sector to
increase competition and create regulatory oversight in line with European Union
rules. It is also accelerating the privatization of Croatia's three large-state owned
companies. High ranking officials from the Croatian Ministry of Economy, which is the
lead government agency for developing and implementing Croatia's energy policy, will
visit Washington, DC, to brief U.S. firms on modernization projects and upcoming
privatization plans of Industrija Nafte d.d. (INA), the state-owned oil company;
Hrvatska Elektroprivreda d.d. (HEP), the state-owned electric company; and Jadranski
Naftorod d.d (JANAF), the state-owned oil pipeline company.

Energy sector reforms create attractive opportunities for U.S. energy companies,
suppliers of energy equipment services and industry experts. Plans for refinery
upgrades, transmission and distribution network improvement and the pipeline reversal
projects offer significant areas for U.S. industry involvement. In fact, TDA has
recently undertaken a feasibility study to assess the modernization of INA's two
refineries.
