Nick If your requirement is only to produce b&w maps, and not colour, then a very simple solution is to install a driver for a KIP printer - I discovered this quite by accident: A local print bureau often prints b&w maps for me using their KIP printer - I "print to file" using the KIP driver I have installed. The curious thing is that the file produced by the KIP driver is a tif file which can be viewed with any viewer that can view a tif file - e.g. PaintShopPro or Imaging for Windows. The map is at the scale originally specified. You should be able to get up-to-date information on the KIP website: www.kipamerica.com
