GISers, I am new to GIS and have the following problem with overlaying two different sets of GIS data.
I converted the original shp files into tab files using the universal translator choosing the same projection (NAD 83 MD State) for both the files. However the two layers do not overlay on each other. There is a significant offset and the scale also seems skewed. Both the original shape files are reported to be in NAD 83 MD State. I am using Mapinfo 5.5 Professional. What am I missing here? I would appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction.
