We have 5.5 on NetWare network, 3 seats. All seats experience crashes,
primarily with page fault in MSVCRT (Microsoft visual c run time). DLL. We
have been comparing instances of this library on all 3 machines, and not one
is the same version or size. Is there a newest, greatest, bestest release
of this? We also noted that it occurs in several folders on each machine
leading us to believe that perhaps there are different versions that are
compatible with different programs, or that different programs install it in
their directory so as not to use the one installed in the Windows/System
path. We have run the Library update on all machines (SPEU.exe). Below
is a log that I have been tracking the crashes on. What is the latest
version of the MSVCRT.DLL, Do we WANT the latest v or is an earlier one
best for MI? Any help? I have found 4 emails on the list from the last
year or so, none help, only suggest that others have had this problem. Its
driving me nuts and I have a stack of edits on my desk that aren't getting
done. One of the other users is pursuing a fix through MI tech support but
asked that I poll the list for a solution.
