1. To convert plines into polygons do the following:
- make the layer editable and select all plines
- Objects > Convert To Regions
- save
2. Open the two layers (the polygons created at #1 (MyPolyg) and the =
centroids from Access (MyCentro))
- Select * from MyPolyg, MyCentro where MyPolyg.obj Contains MyCentro =
Into NewPolyg
- you can build the query using Query > SQL Select
- save the NewPolyg query as a MapInfoTable

Subject: MI-L creating regions from plines
I moving forest stand polygons into MI from Pamap GIS. I can translate =
=3D
the vectors OK but then how do I convert the resulting plines into =3D
regions? (several thousand of them) I have an Access table that contains =
=3D
the polygon centroid locations, which I have geocoded as points in MI, =
=3D
since I am assuming if I can get regions formed from all of my plines, I =
=3D
can extract the Access data from the points to the regions (?)
Are there any tools for this scenerio or am I doing it the wrong way?
Rick
