I have an mbx extension which makes use of the DBMS support to read Access databases through ODBC data source names. We've told the users to install DBMS support, but sometimes they don't and then they get error messages which aren't very helpful. Is there a way to tell from MapBasic whether DBMS has been installed before trying to use it?
