I've got a question on Microsoft philosophy. The MapInfo function GetFolderPath$() retrieves any special folder paths as defined by Microsoft (plus 3 defined by MapInfo).
My question relates to using a pair of these folders for application settings in a networked, multi-user environment. What are the intended purposes of the paths returned by GetFolderPath$(FOLDER_APPDATA) and GetFolderPath$(FOLDER_LOCAL_APPDATA)?
