I'm building up a MapX/Oracle 8i application in VB.
Through EasyLoader, I'm able to store the Vector data in Oracle, but for
managing Rasters, I've to use the good old way of referencing the Raster
files through the file path stored in the database. : (
Just like ArcSDE provides a way to store Rasters in a database, is their a
way to store Rasters in Oracle and use the same for displaying through
MapX. Even so, is it a good practice to store rasters (may be BLOB/CLOB) in
a database.
I've in mind multi rasters, so how do I go about all this.
Any guidance in this regard would be welcome.
