G'day all Thanks for the feedback about the "Unable to read Preference file, using = internal defaults" message I was getting once I had upgraded from = MapInfo v.6 to v.6.5. People were right, it was the Concentric Ring = Buffer tool that was causing the problem. This is what MapInfo Tech = support had to say; >>"The error message you are getting is because you are automatically = loading the Concentric Ring Buffer tool. This is a known issue and has been = logged as a bug. The error message should stop popping up after you run the = tool once, or you choose not to automatically load it."
