Good afternoon to all, I have noticed one more of Mapinfo 6.5 strange behaviours... More or less, here is the scenario:
1. Open a table of points. 2. Query > Select all from YourTable. 3. File > Save Copy As of your selection and give the table a name of more than seventeen or eighteen characters. 4. MapInfo evaporates into thin air or I get a MapInfo has generated errors, an error log is being created. It seems to happen more often with point objects. With some tables, the number of character doesn't seem to make a difference while other times it can be clearly identified that the max number of characters for the name of the table is 17 or 18. Also, it sometimes takes a couple tries, while other times it happens right away and everytime. I would appreciate if some of you could take a few minutes of their time and try this, just so that I know it is not particular to my hardware/configurations. I am using version 6.5 on Windows 2000. Just make sure to save everything before trying ...! Thank you very much for letting me know of the results!
