Hello Sarah, As you probably appreciate, the workspace does not carry any layer data (except the cosmetic layer) so you really want to export the whole layer collection to a DXF. There seems to be two obvious ways to try:
First, you could export the map/layout as a Windows meta file and then find some way of importing this into AutoCAD or other product capable of created a DXF. You would loose geographic coordinate in favour of page-based units and this may or may not be important for you. The second option is to export each layer in a map window individually (you may find a utility somewhere to do this in batch) and then use AutoCAD or similar to fold them into a single DXF (observing layer order). This method would preserve coordinates. I am sure there are other ways but these would be the methods I would try first. Good day Quick question: is there a method of translating a workspace (i.e. layout features, tab files) into DXF or DWG? I realize it is possible to translate each tab file to DXF, but I'm searching for a way to convert an entire workspace into DXF... Any ideas?
