Dear Readers, I am in desperate need of assistance.
We have an application that does various map manipulation and digitization tools for us. This is a MapBasic Application that is currently in MI 6.5. We are running Win XP. We have narrowed the issue to anything we do to a selection. Our goal is to select a region on the map and rotate it or to use it's border and build a new layer. Doing either of these locks the system completely. Selecting a single region and asking to view it in a browser even locks the system. Since our initial crash and despite reinstalls and the attempts below, we've not been able to do anything with a selection from any table we've tried--this includes brand new tables from the MI Pro CD. We've reinstalled MI Pro and our applications, re-compiled them, deleted all temp files, removed all extra printer drivers, worked in the DLLs we could find issue with and looked into the video card. The video card drivers have not been changed and are the defaults from XP. We have turned down the refresh rates on the monitor also. All to no avail. Any ideas or suggestions?? Help! Any ideas would be very greatly appreciated and I will sum. If your suggestion appears related to something we've tried, please suggest it anyway as we might not have tried your version.
