Hello Listers, I have been using custom symbols that I created with macromedia fireworks, they were saved as bmp-8, etc. . . they display correctly in mapinfo(4.5-6.0), however, when I print to pdf , they get all scrunched up and look funny, everything else looks fine, including other pre-made custom symbols. As near as I can tell the only difference between them is that my symbols have a native resolution of 72dpi, and the pre-made ones have a native resolution of 0dpi, If I specify 0dpi in the fireworks save-as dialog my computer quickly runs out of memory, very odd. Then when I resort to using the symbol editor in Mapinfo (SYMBOL.mbx) , every symbol ( I mean _EVERY_ symbol) looks like a big square rotated 45 degrees, even stranger.
My questions are: do I have to specify 0dpi native resolution for MI symbols? Has any one else ever tried to use MI's Symbol Editor? Perhaps with success? Is there a prefered symbol editor out there? Thanks in advanced, Abner Holsinger _______________________________________________________________________ List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MapInfo-L" in the message body.
