Hey Ken, I know that you can get a nice DEM of BC from 'The Map Place' for free. You need the AutoDesk Mapguide plugin. But you can also overlay any number of other themes such as terrain boundaries, faults, volcanoes, ect. The data is not georeferenced though :( I have been bugging them to post georef data but to no avail.
Chris PS Here is the adress of the Map Place http://www.em.gov.bc.ca/Mining/Geolsurv/MapPlace/default.htm ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ken Hickey" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "MapInfo-L" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, March 20, 2002 7:57 PM Subject: MI-L digital model western USA and BC G'day all Does anyone know where I could get a copy of a DEM of the western USA and British Columbia with state boundaries on. It doesn't have to be high quality as I want to use it as a base to show the relative timing of various geological features. Of course I am looking for something cheap and perhaps even free!!
