Sharon, You're trying to squeeze new coordinates into bounds which are too narrow for them. Therefore, all the converted coordinates take the maximum value and you get a line at the edge of the permitted bounds.
Either delete the bounds clause altogether, or allow the upper value to take on the largest value you expect.
