Just adding one more thing, we had to assign power user rights or higher to
get around this. Your initial suspicion is correct, it is a rights problem.

I have seen similar problems under Windows 2000 with other software. It gets
down to earlier versions of MI not being 100% windows compliant or, just
possibly, windows 2000 not being windows 2000 compliant.

Please note that our email address has changed from fox-europe.com to

Hello

We're experiencing difficulties with installing MI Pro 5.5 on one particular
PC. When logged in locally as administrator we have no difficulties, however
logging onto the PC and network as a standard user causes the following
error message:

'***************************************************************************
******************
MapInfow.exe - Application Error

The Application failed to initialize properly (OXC0000022) click on OK to
exit
'***************************************************************************
******************
Its almost as if its a rights problem, but if so what might this be?

TIA

Ioan
