Glad to hear someone else shares my frustration.
I found the entire beta program to be futile. The forum was difficult to access. Sometimes I was reduced to left-clicking and opening in a New Window. Usually it sent me to the MapInfo home page. When/if I finally did get in, it was particularly annoying to have to specify how I heard about the Forum (Magazine, Seminar, etc.), and then I had to specify WHICH Mag or Seminar. I had to do this EVERY time. Of course, the way I learned of the Beta was not listed (The e-mail to the MI-L from the Product Manager). I finally took to pulling down thru the choices indiscriminately--so much for effective Market Research. Lastly, when I did get in the first few times, it seemed to me that not many of the reported bugs had been fixed, but that they were looking for input on new "features." An MI Tech adimiited as much to me on the forum (which I can't access right now). I finally just gave up. Since MI has reached the top of the eye-candy pinnacle with the 3D feature they introduced a few versions ago (Groovy glasses!), they should now fine tune what they have (can anybody out there print translucent rasters?) A more user-friendly feedback mechanism would be a good start. Of course, that's just my opinion.
