David... Check you Coordinate System!! I have had this problem before and ensure that the coordinates you want to create points for are created in an environment with the correct system.
1. Work out what coordinate system the coordinates relate to. 2. Try changing the tables projection. 3. Try saving the table into a different project system 4. Use Set Coordsys : Change the coordinate system with the mapbasic window (in MapInfo) and then copy/past the set coordsys code into your MB Hope this helps, let me know if you solve the problem.
