Dear list, I have a table with about 100 char columns that I loop through. I make a selection and an update and then I modify the columns to smallint. This works fine. However, I want to let the user know, that the column has changed and that the program is still altering the table. I would like to do that with :
Print "Altering "+Column_alias+" before analyzing." This doesn't work. What do I do?
