I have some .shp files that I am trying to convert to .tab files using the Universal Translator on a PC with NT4 and MapInfo 6.5. I tell the UT where a .shp file is located and then click on the Set Projection button to, er, set the projection. However, rather than the usual dialogue that I expect to see I get a message saying 'MapInfo 4.5 or greater must be running to use the choose projection dialogue'.
If I ignore this then the translation is successful but the result is Non-Earth. Any suggestions?
