The syntax is as follows: Select * from table1 where colname not in(select colname from table2) If you go to the MapInfo KnowledgeBase and search on "outer join" there are a couple of documents describing the syntax: http://testdrive.mapinfo.com/kbase_by_product Open the MapBasic Window and try performing the queries using small sample tables. The SQL will be written to the MapBasic Window and you can copy / modify it for a more general case.
