Hey there listers, I have just purchased a set of geophysical data in Geosoft format and would like to modify the data in VM. I am currently having difficulty importing the Geosoft grids into VM. I can open them through MI 6.5 as a simple table, but VM does not recognise them as grids (although Discover 3.0 does). Anyways, I am trying to convert the .grd files to .mig files using the Import function in VM. When doing so I am asked the path / location of the Geosoft grid; the grids projection; and the units of the grids Z-value; and finally the name and location of the new file. I notice that VM recognises that the file is a geosoft file in the import window and everything (projection, extents, metadata) looks correct. But when I hit ok - I get the following error: "Filename not found. Unable to open Filename" - this filename is the name of the new file I wish to create from the geosoft grid. Please help.
