Its an ActiveX map layout control for ESRI MapObjects - but I use it in MapX apps too, and also for page layout tools for graphing functions. Its tough to beat and the time it would take you to program and debug in VB all the capabilities this thing has easily justifies the cost (about $1600 per developer with free deployments). You can download a trial version and be up and running in your VB/MapX app in a few minutes.
