Darrin,

We developed a tool to automate batch map production, zooming to each object
in a table (such as ZIP codes) in turn, creating a .wor and optionally
printing and creating digital output. You can specify a column (such as ZIP)
for the title of each layout. (Single layout created for each .wor).

More information can be found at:
http://www.spatialinsights.com/catalog/products/spatial/mapomatic/. Price is
$695.

If you have any questions or need more information, please don't hesitate to
contact me.

Sincerely,

Erin Rubio

Subject: MI-L two batch processing questions

Hello,

1) We're trying to automate a mapping job that runs through
several maps using a table of ZIP codes on which to center
each successive map. Since we don't have MapBasic, we're
using the "Fetch First, Fetch Next" workaround to loop
through records in the MapBasic window. (This was a great
trick someone on the MI-L suggested.) However, we're
finding that the Fetch Next seems to periodically "flip out"
and skip a bunch of records or goes back to records already
used. Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?
I read some old archives about making sure the table is
packed but that didn't help.

2) For the same job, we want the ZIP code to appear in the
layout title. Simple enough for the first one but as each
map would have a different ZIP code, we can't find any way
of deleting the previous title or editing it through the
MapBasic window. I don't want to create a new layout each
time. (This must be easy but someone asked this group the
exact same question two years ago but there were no
answers). Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

Darrin
