You might also try TrendMap. In addition to density 'hot spots' it can also
show the average or sum of a numerically defined column in your point
dataset.

Try the density estimation code available on www.directionsmag.com, listed
under MI extensions. It contains a number of different density estimation
methods, and its free!!
