I'm writing a mapbasic program to display the distance to objects in a browser window. The program issues a select statement which uses the distance function. My problem is this function uses the default Latitude/ Longitude coordinate system. I have tried issuing a 'Set Coordsys' statement within the program prior to the select statement. This changes the coordinate system for the mapbasic program but it appears the select statement uses the coordinate system of the session. Is there a way to change the session's coordinates? How can I report the distance with respect to coordinate system for the table of interest? I'm using MapInfo v7.0 with MapBasic v6.5. Lorraine
