My query was:
I've compiled about 44 directions maps for various company warehouses
located within UK to put on our website for the customers.
My questions are:
a) Whether it is possible to put animated arrows along the route
to
highlight the directions for customers
and
b) Whether this can be done within MI or by some other means
i.e.
powerpoint, Visual Basic etc.
The solutions were provided by Christof and Greg which I'm still
looking at:
Christof suggested:
I dont know if it is of relevance for you, but on
http://www.mapit.de/
there is a simple raster map viewer for the web.
it can zoom and stuff. and it is FREE (including source code).
Greg suggested:
JC,
This came up on the list awhile back. Check out the archives at
http://lists.directionsmag.com/discussion/ and search for "animated
time series". I think the general consensus was that animated GIF's
are the way
to go.

Many thanks for your kind assistance.
