Hello Mike,

Catalist Ltd. (whose data you're probably using) can supply a "Where's the
Nearest..." application for MapInfo Pro which will do exactly what you need.
For wider deployments, they also have a Intranet application, Catanet, which
can perform your proximity analysis functions.

Subject: MI-L Query to identify neighbouring locations

This is a resend of a message I sent yesterday to [EMAIL PROTECTED] that has
not been posted

I have a map that plots the locations of petrol filling stations. The table
on which it is based includes the brand name e.g. BP, Esso etc. of each
location.

How can I create a query that will display all Shell sites and any other
brand of site that is within x miles of each Shell site? Could this be
further refined to display all Shell sites and only say Esso sites, that are
within x miles of a Shell site.

Thanks
