We are currently upgrading our CAD operators from Autocad R14 to R2002. This has thrown up a problem with the way we export vector based maps from Mapinfo to ACAD. The method we use is detailed below. It works for R14 but not 2002 1. Open Os landline table 2. Select area of interest 3. Table, Export 'Selection' 4. Change to DXF, name export e.g. "DXF_Test.dxf" 5. Change to Release 13 leaving all other settings as default then press OK 6. Open ACAD 2002, File Open, change to type = DXF and open file "DXF_Test.dxf" Fails to open file and ACAD gives the following message in text window "The following error was encountered while reading in VERTEX starting at line 652: Premature end of object Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded." Same file opened in ACAD LT98 & R14 with no problems.
