Hello David,

I have no experience with Illustrator but I would imagine that there are
settings for monitor colour correction, typically a gamma setting. This
exists to overcome slight differences between monitors. There may also be
some colour correction process in effect. If such a setting is in AI, switch
it off or set the value to zero and your colours should display the same as
in Pro.

Subject: MI-L Mapinfo colours between MI and AI

Hi everyone,

I am hoping someone may be able to shed some light on this.

I am using some third party software to get midmif into Adobe
Illustrator
and have some observations regarding the differeces in the appearance on
colours between the two.

It seems (RGB) are not preserved correctly when the data is brought into
Illustrator. Seems close, but the RGB values in AI are not 100% as in
MapInfo.
All colours appear slightly duller in AI. Has anyone experienced this
before and may be able to comment on how to best equate colours between
the two
software packages?

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

David
