Hi All, I am still having trouble reprojecting a file. The original projection is;
3 degree Transverse Mercator projection (3TM) Reference Meridians of 111, 114, 117 and 120 degrees west longitude Datum is NAD83 Location: Alberta, Canada - Red Deer to be specific The file format is ESRI Shape, no prj file exists, just *.dbf. *.shx and *.shp When I load the original translation the file is in British Columbia, at the correct Longitude but obviously the wrong latitude. No matter what I seem to try nothing will change the position of this data set. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? Are there any other projection utilities I can try? Is there a header type file that I could open in a text editor and force the bounds of the data to fit where I want it to? TIA. The import works fine until I try and change the projection. I want a Lat/Long NAD83 projection, if I try and change projection during import then nothing appears in the map browser althought the translation was "Successful". If I do a save copy as the projection changes in name only and does not repostion the data to where it should be. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can reproject this data? TIA. Steve
